There are three things to look for in a good CBD

The market for CBD has become very full, very quickly. CBD products are often sold at corner stores, pharmacies, and even grocery stores.

But just because CBD is easier to get than ever before doesn’t mean it’s all the same. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) doesn’t regulate CBD, so the quality of CBD products can vary a lot from one brand to the next.

Here’s a quick list of things to keep an eye out for when buying CBD.

An Analysis Certificate (COA)

In the end, COAs should be right in the middle of any CBD product or CBD company’s website. If they aren’t, that should be a red flag.

A good COA lists the chemicals that are in a CBD product. Heavy metals, cannabinoids, and pesticides will all be looked at. It could also say what’s in the product, such as terpenes and other compounds that are found in hemp.

Sourcing and a Short List of Ingredients

Where CBD comes from is important to know. Source information lets you know if the hemp is grown in a way that is good for the environment, if it has pesticides, is organic, and more. CBD that is grown in an organic way is often of a higher quality in terms of how well it works and how safe it is.

The list of ingredients should be short. Having too many ingredients can also be a red flag, and if possible, the hemp should be grown in the United States to reduce the risk of harm.

Testing by a third party

It’s very important that the CBD is tested by a third-party lab that can be trusted. It shows that the product is real and safe, and that the seller’s results are correct and not biased.

When buying CBD, there are many other things to think about, such as whether to get CBD isolate or full spectrum (which includes THC), how much to take, what form to buy (oils, capsules, gummies, etc.), and more. But the short list above will make sure that the CBD product, in whatever form it comes, is a safe and effective way to get the results you want.
